First PTO Meeting and PTO Membership
Our first PTO meeting will be on Thursday, September 1st at 7pm in the library. Please join us for the meeting to share ideas and learn about things that are going on around school. PTO member is $10 and this will allow you to receive a directory for Columbia students and families. The homeroom with the highest percentage of membership will receive a Marcos Pizza Party!!
Pizza Night
Our first Marco's pizza night will be Tuesday, September 6th. Our school will receive 15% of all orders placed. When you call into order, please be sure to mention Columbia and provide them with your students homeroom teacher because the homeroom with the most orders each month will win a free pizza party!
Picture Day
Columbia picture day will be Thursday, September 1st. We need volunteers to assist with picture day. If you are interested, there is a sign up genius on the PTO blog spot under the volunteer tab.
CIS Runner's Club
CIS Runner's Club is a Tuesday, Thursday group of individuals who run or walk an approximately 2 mile course around Landen Lake. Students, staff and parents leave school at approximately 3:40 and most will be done by 4:20. All students MUST be picked up by 4:30. This program will start Tuesday, September 6th. The flyer/permission slip can be found on the PTO site http://cis-pto.blogspot.com/ and then under the Forms/Flyers tab.
Dance Team 101
Dance Team 101 participants are girls who are interested in training to audition for future participation on the KJH and KHS Dance Teams. They coach the classes, with assistance from current Dance Team members. The DT 101 girls will perform in the KHS Dance Team's Spring Show in late February. Signups for Dance Team 101 will be Thursday, September 8th from 7-8:30pm in the CIS Cafeteria. Dancify is a dance program that offers classes at JF Burns Elementary and CIS. They still have many spots open in multiple classes. IF you are interested, you can find the flyer with the schedule on http://cis-pto.blogspot.com and then under the Forms/Flyers tab.
Spooktacular
Spooktacular is right around the corner on Saturday, October 22nd. Watch this newsletter and the CIS blog spot for more information and for volunteer opportunities.
