Staff Appreciation Thanksgiving
It is time for the 12th annual  CIS PTO Staff Appreciation Committee's Thanksgiving Bread distribution. Every year, it is tradition to present each staff member with a loaf of homemade bread to share with their families over Thanksgiving break, as a "thank you" for their continued dedication to our kids. We are in need of 85 loaves of homemade bread. Click on the signup link below to help continue this tradition.

Candy Drive
Thank you to the students and staff at CIS for your generous donations to the 5th Annual JF Burns Candy Drive for the Troops.  CIS students donated 937 pounds of candy which was taken to JF Burns and added to the 1643 pounds that were dropped off there.  This year's candy drive was an incredible success due in large part to the CIS students and the staff.  Our goal was 1000 pounds this and we really crushed our goal. We collected at total of 2583 pounds of candy, all of which will go to the Yellow Ribbon Support Center to go into care packages for local service men and women deployed around the world.  The Kings community is truly amazing.  The following classes won a Papa John's pizza party for collecting the most candy:
5th Grade - Mrs. Peters class with 81 pounds
6th Grade - Mr. Klies' class with 85 pounds

KingsUKnights
A new program will be put into place this year to fulfill the needs of our Kings families for the Holidays.  KingsUKnights will find members of the community to match the needs of any family that is referred by a counselor. If you, your organization or business is interested in sponsoring a student and/or family in the Kings School District for the holidays this year, please contact KingsUKnights at kingsuknights@gmail.com

Student Directories
Please be patient, as this has been a year of transitions with staff, as well as, a new printing company. The company we have used for the past several years has closed. We have found a replacement company and are working to obtain all of the information needed to process the directories. We will keep you updated throughout the progress and get them to you as soon as they become available.

Thank You
