Spooktacular

The Spooktacular was a huge success! A big Thank You goes out to Erin Deutsch and the Spooktacular committee for their hard work, dedication, talents, and countless hours involved. Thank you to all of the families who donated their time, talents and goods for this event. Lastly, thank you to the families who came out to support this fundraiser. We couldn't do this without the support from our CIS families and community! 

Student Directories

Please be patient, as this has been a year of transitions with staff, as well as, a new printing company. The company we have used for the past several years has closed. We have found a replacement company and are working to obtain all of the information needed to process the directories. We will keep you updated throughout the progress and get them to you as soon as they become available.

PTO Meeting
Join us next Thursday, November 5th @ 7pm in the CIS Art Room for the next PTO meeting. We will be discussing the Spooktacular after event update, our upcoming meetings regarding Puttin' On The Hits (POTH) and introducing the new Spring Fundraiser. Hope to see you there!

The wait is finally over! Join us this Saturday, October 24th from 6-9 for the annual CIS Spooktacular. Erin Deutsch and the Spooktacular Committee have been working none stop to bring a new and refreshed look to the carnival. Staff Appreciation
The Staff Appreciation committee planned another wonderful meal for the teachers and staff on Tuesday. Thank you for your donations and/or time to make this happen. A big thanks to Alice Hall for organizing and executing this much appreciated meal.

Coordinator Needed
The PTO is looking for a coordinator to organize the 3v3 basketball tournament that is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd. This is a one day event and would be perfect for someone who enjoys the game of basketball. All of the materials needed for this event is available, so there is no need to re-create the wheel. Please contact Nyioka Phalen at nyioka@gmail.com if you are interested or would like more information.

Join us tonight, Thursday, October 8th @7pm in the art room, where will be discussing the upcoming Spookatacular. Our guest speaker will be Missy Kowitz to talk about a new community project called "KingsUKnights". It is a program that involves matching the needs of Kings families with Kings community resources. We'd love to see you there! 

Directly following the PTO meeting, Erin Deutsch and the Spooktacular committee will be having an additional Spooktacular meeting. Feel free to stick around for that, too!

Programs
The Fall PTO Student Clubs are now in progress. They are held every Tuesday from 3:30-4:30 and will run for 6 weeks. We apologize if your child was not able to get into the Fall session due to limited space, but be sure to register them in the Spring so that they will have first seating. A Thank You goes out to April Riviera for her organizing efforts with the programs.
