What does PTO raise money for? 
CIS-PTO raises money to support a variety of in-school and after-school programs that benefit the students and staff at Columbia Intermediate School.

How does the PTO raise money? 

CIS-PTO sponsors four major fundraisers throughout the year to support the fun and educational programs taking place at Columbia Intermediate School. 

- Color Fun Run - A new, annual fundraiser set on a Saturday in the Spring. A 2.5 mile run or walk around a path of a local park, while going through a different color station throughout the walk. Families and friends of all ages can join in on this fun, colorful event! This is a 100% profit fundraiser for CIS!

- SPOOKTACULAR - Held at the end of October on a Saturday evening, this fundraiser accounts for 25% of our annual revenue. It is a family filled event, similar to the karnivals and extravaganzas at the elementary levels. The CIS Building will be transformed into a Halloween themed venue. Look out for more information coming soon on the "New" Revamped Spooktacular!

- POTH, more commonly known as Puttin' On The Hits, is a lip sync contest, and is one of the most iconic CIS events of the year. Serious students with the flare for drama and music prepare months for this competition. Complete with costumes and choreography, POTH holds auditions for the top 20-25 groups to perform at KHS auditorium in the last weekend of February. Watch for the newsletter with meetings, try outs and performance dates. POTH has 2 performances: Friday night Preview Night, which now includes The People's Choice Award, where the audience votes, via smart phones to declare their favorites, and the actual competition Saturday night, including a distinguished panel of judges to evaluate, critic and declare 3 winners from each grade.  Due to the high popularity of these shows, get your tickets ASAP when they go on sale! You won't want to miss the show!

- SPIRITWEAR - Spirit! Let's Hear it...or at least wear it. We will feature Class Of apparel for you to purchase which will feature KINGS KNIGHTS colors and logos. 


- PASSIVE FUNDRAISERS: 

• Kroger Rewards - Log onto Kroger Community Rewards and enter code 81346 to help raise money for CIS by simply shopping! See flyer for details. 
• Target Take Charge of Education Program - Log onto Target Take Charge of Education to link your TargetRed card to Columbia Intermediate. Target will donate 1% of your REDcard purchases to CIS.
• Box Tops for Education - Send in those Box Tops as an easy way to earn easy money for CIS!
• Restaurant Nights - Local food places, such as Marco's Pizza and Papa John's Pizza will donate proceeds back to CIS for food orders placed during the pre-scheduled nights. What an easy way to support your school!
