Please see website for more details. Save the Date - Preview night is Feb 27th and the show is Feb 28th. It's the event of the season and you don't want to miss it!

PTO POINTS 12.12.14


SPIRITWEAR PICKUP - DID YOU WANT THIS AS A SECRET? Many parents have reached out to me to get their apparel separately for a gift. Our only solution is for you to pick up the shirt/hoodie before we distribute to the kids on THURS 12/18. If you get to CIS around 11, before lunches begin, you will be able to grab your childs apparel. Otherwise, spiritwear is being distributed at lunch on that day. PLEASE notify your child if you ordered something that they need to pick it up. Many kids last year had no idea they had a hoodie coming, so please advise your child.

WINTER GOODIE BAGS for Teachers -  
December/January Staff Appreciation:  Ok, this month is easy… No baking or cooking. Just sending in some items that you probably have at home already, or are easy to purchase…
We are going to give the teachers a "Back to School Goody Bag," that will be waiting for them after winter break. These will include all the things that they use in their classrooms, and may be running out of by now… Kleenex, paper towels, hand sanitizer, wipes, etc. We will also need some nice, solid co...lored paper shopping bags to put everything in.
All donations are due by Friday, December 19,2014. If you are able to help assemble the bags, we will be meeting that morning, around 9am.

PTO POINTS 11.21.14


SPIRIT! LET'S HEAR IT! Just in time for the holidays. We are in process of launching our sale. Attached is the design! We will be having the sale from 12/1 to 12/8 and apparel will be delivered to school on 12/17.

Thanksgiving Bread!
The time is getting near to provide baked breads for our teachers, staff, and bus drivers of CIS! Our goal is to have 80 loaves to distribute! We would like to have the bread dropped off to CIS on Monday, November 24th by 9am.
Please wrap the bread in foil with a label stating the kind of bread it is (i.e. pumpkin, cranberry, spice, etc.). You can also include a "baked by" note  if you choose! We plan to wrap a ribbon around each loaf with a little note attached. 
If you have some time to spare on Monday morning the 24th, we could certainly use the help with ribbon tying and bread distribution. We'll plan to get started at 9am!

3v3 TOURNY


We had teams like Swish, Shooting Stars, Abusement Park, TRANsformers, Marvels, Lollipops, L_Jam, Lobster and Co and more. A Big Kings Knights Shoutout to Jen Schultz, Erin Deutsch, Christine Hodges, Karen Frecker and Sylvia Lahni for a FAAAABULOUS Inaugural 3 V 3 Tourny. If you were unable to attend or participate, keep this on your planner for the first weekend of November 2015. This new tourny promises to be a memorable event for all who participate.  Of course none of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors: MAC PIZZA, EVOLUTION FITNESS WAREHOUSE, SPRINGDOT, SONIC and MEIJER! Please support these businesses and tell them THANK YOU for supporting our schools.

A HUGE Kings Knights shoutout to KRISTEN MONROE for your amazing dedication to not one, but TWO major fundraisers in the course of 30 days. This has been very stressful with all the logistical planning, in a very short period of time and given the parameters, I think she should be commended! Seriously, if you see Kristen around, please tell her THANK YOU! Or better yet, shoot her a quick note: kamonroe3@gmail.com.  
A few notes of interest:
SAVE THE DATE - Thurs 11/6 at 6:30. COMMON CORE presentation at KJH Multi-Purpose Room. In lieu of our monthly PTO meeting, please plan on attending this very informative presentation about the new standards in education. It's a hot topic for many parents. I am encouraging you to clear your calendars so you can attend. I hope to see Columbia parents JAM THE STANDS, or in this case, chairs of the MPR.
STAFF APPRECIATION: We are still in need of donations to refuel our tireless teachers on these very long conference days. If you have any questions or want to assist Erin Deutsch, erin@springdot.com

From the desk of Kristen Monroe: FITNESS FOR FUNDS update:
The #1 Class for fundraising is (drum roll please)..... Miss. Acus' class, with a total of $438 dollars raised for Fitness for Funds.  They will win a pizza party 
The 2nd runner-up for fundraising is....Mrs. Kleiss' class, with a total of $367 dollars raised for Fitness for Funds.  They will win a popsicle party.
Our top student fundraiser and winner was Ethan Bennett with $105 dollars raised.  He will receive a SPOOKTACULAR VIP Package filled with all sort of fall/Halloween goodies, plus a full VIP package to Spooktacular.
Our next two students tied, so they will also receive a SPOOKTACULAR package.  They are Kaitlin Pong and Kylie Michalak who both raised $100 each.
Thank you to all the students who participated in the day and in raising our $4300 for PTO programs and events!
 
It's STAFF APPRECIATION time! Erin Deutsch is organizing her team to wine (non-alcoholic of course) and dine our fabulous teachers during conferences. There are 3 kNights and we  need as much food and stuff as possible. If you'd like to help Erin, please contact her: erin@springdot.cor

Meeting guest: Brain Balance Center of Cincinnati owner Greg Marischen will discuss important challenges with children and behaviors. Does your child struggle academically? Does he or she have trouble making friends? Are behavioral issues causing problems in every day activities? Come hear some insightful information.
