A HUGE Kings Knights shoutout to KRISTEN MONROE for your amazing dedication to not one, but TWO major fundraisers in the course of 30 days. This has been very stressful with all the logistical planning, in a very short period of time and given the parameters, I think she should be commended! Seriously, if you see Kristen around, please tell her THANK YOU! Or better yet, shoot her a quick note: kamonroe3@gmail.com.  
A few notes of interest:
SAVE THE DATE - Thurs 11/6 at 6:30. COMMON CORE presentation at KJH Multi-Purpose Room. In lieu of our monthly PTO meeting, please plan on attending this very informative presentation about the new standards in education. It's a hot topic for many parents. I am encouraging you to clear your calendars so you can attend. I hope to see Columbia parents JAM THE STANDS, or in this case, chairs of the MPR.
STAFF APPRECIATION: We are still in need of donations to refuel our tireless teachers on these very long conference days. If you have any questions or want to assist Erin Deutsch, erin@springdot.com

Our annual event will be SATURDAY 10/25/2014 from 6:00 to 9:00pm. Here are all the relevant links to be in the know:

CLUB DUNGEON - The HOTTEST Dance club in the district! This is an exclusive 5th and 6th Grade DANCE PARTY with DJ WOODY! To get into C.D. kids either need to be in a costume, wearing the Spooktacular TShirt or pay 10 tickets.
COSTUME CONTEST - Who has the cutest kid costume?? NEW this year! A costume contest for kids ages 1 through 12 (6th grade). (NO blood or gore please, keep it clever and cute!)

From the desk of Kristen Monroe: FITNESS FOR FUNDS update:
The #1 Class for fundraising is (drum roll please)..... Miss. Acus' class, with a total of $438 dollars raised for Fitness for Funds.  They will win a pizza party 
The 2nd runner-up for fundraising is....Mrs. Kleiss' class, with a total of $367 dollars raised for Fitness for Funds.  They will win a popsicle party.
Our top student fundraiser and winner was Ethan Bennett with $105 dollars raised.  He will receive a SPOOKTACULAR VIP Package filled with all sort of fall/Halloween goodies, plus a full VIP package to Spooktacular.
Our next two students tied, so they will also receive a SPOOKTACULAR package.  They are Kaitlin Pong and Kylie Michalak who both raised $100 each.
Thank you to all the students who participated in the day and in raising our $4300 for PTO programs and events!
 
It's STAFF APPRECIATION time! Erin Deutsch is organizing her team to wine (non-alcoholic of course) and dine our fabulous teachers during conferences. There are 3 kNights and we  need as much food and stuff as possible. If you'd like to help Erin, please contact her: erin@springdot.cor
