PTO Points 11.12.2015

CIS Candy Drive
Papa John's has donated a pizza party to the 5th and 6th grade class that donates the most candy for the JF Burns 5th Annual Candy Drive for the Troops. Students can bring their donations to their homeroom.  Donations will be weighed and totaled and the winners will be announced the week of November 16th.  All candy will be accepted (including chocolate) with the exception of anything shaped like body parts or weapons. If possible, please send the candy in ziplock baggies.  All candy will go to The Yellow Ribbon Support Center in Batavia, Ohio.  The Yellow Ribbon Center sends countless care packages to local military service members each year.  If you have any questions, please contact Hope Cantrall  at hopecantrall@gmail.com

Staff Appreciation Conference Dinner
Thank you Alice Hall and the Staff Appreciation Committee for organizing the last of the three conference dinners for our teachers/staff tonight. Thank you to everyone who donated items and/or time to make this successful. It is very much recognized and appreciated.

POTH
The Puttin' On The Hits Committee have been busy preparing for our next big fundraiser of the year! POTH is an annual tradition at Columbia. It is a fun, friendly lip syncing competition that involves groups of three or more 5th and 6th grade students who perform on the Kings High School Stage in February!

KingsUKnights
A new program will be put into place this year to fulfill the needs of our Kings families for the Holidays.  KingsUKnights will find members of the community to match the needs of any family that is referred by a counselor. If you, your organization or business is interested in sponsoring a student and/or family in the Kings School District for the holidays this year, please contact KingsUKnights at kingsuknights@gmail.com

PTO Meeting
Thank you for attending our November PTO meeting last Thursday. If you were not able to make it, you can review the meeting minutes below. Please note: there will not be a December meeting. January 7th will start back our monthly meetings.

Student Directories
Please be patient, as this has been a year of transitions with staff, as well as, a new printing company. The company we have used for the past several years has closed. We have found a replacement company and are working to obtain all of the information needed to process the directories. We will keep you updated throughout the progress and get them to you as soon as they become available.

Thank You
Thank you goes out to the following committee coordinators for their hard work and recent organizing efforts...
  • Alice Hall - Staff Appreciation Committee
